I really enjoy that the teacher is a native speaker who has taught others before. The pacing is really well done as far as I'm concerned. I found it really interesting how he went over how you should relax your mouth or open wider for certain sounds.

Interesting lectures waiting for more videos

Good pace. Lessons well sequenced. I am able to write and read hiragana in 2 weeks, and follow up with learning vocab using Duolingo. It’s good to hear from a native speaker’s perspective how Japanese is learnt. Hiragana teaching on Duolingo is more haphazard.

Everything is well explained and its easy to follow along. Its all step by step which personally makes it easier to learn.

I have tried to learn Japanese with Android apps (free and paid) and books I've purchased and I just feel so lost and as if I'm drowning in an endless see of characters I don't understand. I just finished the first video where Tyson teaches actual Hiragana characters. I really enjoy this course over trying to learn these on my own with free (and paid) Android apps. 1. Tyson is a native speaker, so I do feel as though I am getting insight I could not get otherwise, I also do not have to worry about mispronunciations from a non-native speaker having a slight accent in their Japanese. 2. Tyson gives tips on writing the characters I have not seen elsewhere. None of the apps or books I have mentioned imagining the two lines on the I character connect! It's a very useful tip! And this is the first video... 3. Each lesson has full words you can write with the characters you've learned. It lets me feel like I'm applying what I've learned in some way other than just a few characters. 4. There are some nice PDFs you can download from this course. I've downloaded them and put them on my iPad to easily practice the writing, however, if you're looking to print them I would look for other assets online, as these are rather large and don't have as much space for writing each character. You get six boxes - 8 per character. There are tons of free pdf assets online, so I wouldn't make this a deciding factor on purchasing this course or not. I definitely recommend getting it.

As someone who is still beginner to japanese, the course really helps me to be familiar with the hiragana characters as well as the proper stroke of them. I'll looking forward to learning more lessons from him!

Well, Hi ^^ I am from Brazil, and I really want to learn japanese (For anime, mangas, games, programs/television series) - But while that day don't come, I keeping upgrading my English skills to reach my personal dream (did I mentioned that I also want to be a translator for anything? Yes, I wannnaaa beeeeee one); and yeah, they are right when they said "The English will open doors to you" - And here I am, trying again, studying through content creators who are teachers. I already had a Japanese course in my elementary school, but....I felt so bad and sad that time then I give up and I regret that choice until today. But I am back and have 100% faith and courage to try again and go far; Your videos on instagram make my days more interesting/fun and thank god that you opened a Japanese course from 0. These few classes cleared my mind and showed to me that I can learn Japanese after all, It's not that hard, you know? It's complicated 'cause it isn't my first language but, no impossible; I have to believe and do my best, if I make one or more mistakes it's okay too :D That's part of the process, just need to keep up my pace and evolving like Pokémon. Ok, to finish: Your class is objetive - straight to the point, I really loved the reading/guessing section (that AIUEO OUEAIAEOUI KAKIKUKEKO KUKEKIKAKO etc; challenged me a lot ** I even had to repeat some classes; fix too well in my memory), the drawings are so adorable that made me try to draw too - my notes are cute <3); the structure of the content of the classes is so necessary, helps a lot for begginers ~~ One more time, THANK YOU SO MUCH BY JAPANESE ESSENTIAL LITTLE COURSE, YOU LITERALLY SAVED MY STUDIES< MY LIFE. We love this course, it is easy to follow along and to remember everything sensei taught us! I highly recommend his course to anyone learning Japanese, this was perfect for my son to learn Japanese in his own time.
